Chief Sean Kelly has been a police officer in the State of New Hampshire for 29 years. Prior to his appointment as Chief of Police by the Town of Weare, Sean retired as a Captain from the Durham Police Department. Chief Kelly holds a Bachelor's Degree from Springfield College. He is a graduate of the 201st FBI National Academy; the 46th Session of FBI LEEDS; and, completed a year-long Fellowship with the Leadership Development Unit of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. In 2007-2008, Chief Kelly worked on the USDOJ Law Enforcement Leadership Initiative Steering Committee and Core Competencies Work Group. From 2011 to 2014, Chief Kelly consulted for the USDOJ Office of Justice Programs Diagnostic Center. Sean has authored articles on the subjects of accreditation as a management tool, stress in law enforcement, sports riots, internal affairs and risk management. Chief Kelly has presented on a variety of law enforcement disciplines to area colleges and at international training conferences. Chief Kelly has been a CALEA Assessor since 1999.
